QIBLAH OF PROPHET'S MOSQUE (MEDINA) MIGHT NEEDS CORRECTION 4° TO THE EAST
My review and calculation (using Google Earth) on the direction of the Qiblah of Prophet's Mosque (Al-Masjid An-Nabawi) found a difference of about 4° (degrees) to the west. The correction (if necessary) should be made 4° to the east.
I conclude that the direction of the Qiblah made by His Highness the Prophet Muhammad Sollallahu alaihiwasallam during the construction of the original building of the Prophet's Mosque is correct as it was guided by the revelation of Allah Subhanahu wata'ala, even without the help of the advanced equipments available today.
The possibility of a 4° deviation to the west occurred due to the movement of the earth's crust or the measurement error during the reconstruction of the Prophet's Mosque building.
Given the distance of 338km between the Prophet's Mosque to the Kaaba, a margin of 4° causes the direction of the qiblah of Prophet's Mosque to be reached 24km far from the Kaaba (to the west). If there is already an action on this issue, then it is good. But if not, then it is hoped that the authorities on this matter will be reviewing and recalculating to rectify the direction of qiblah of the Prophet's Mosque.
